Five citizens of South Dakota appointed by the Governor. May not all be of the same political party. No
member may be a license holder under SDCL 42-7B nor a residence of Lawrence County.
Term of Appointment:
Three Years, No more than two consecutive full terms

The Commission must meet at least Quarterly

The goals of the Commission on Gaming, as outlined in SDCL42-7B-2.1 are:
1 to insure that gaming establishments and locations are operated by suitable persons, that those activities are conducted honestly, competitively and free from criminal influence and activity;
2 to maintain public confidence and trust that all gaming locations and activities are strictly regulated;
3 to foster the stability and success of gaming and to preserve the economy and policies of free competition for the State of South Dakota
